A father-son team has created a spin-off version of Wordle aimed at doctors and health professionals.
Their game, called Meddle, turns the heat up on the competitive word-guessing game by only including six-letter medical vocabulary.
Meddle players get seven tries at guessing the word, with colour-coded clues given along the way.
The prize comes in the form of glory (i.e., being able to brag insufferably about your success on Twitter).
The game was created by Chris Alderman, an associate professor at the University of South Australia, and his son Jonathon.
The father-son duo hoped their game could provide a wholesome distraction for doctors who might be feeling burned out due to all the stresses of covid.
Meddle is the latest in a long line of Wordle copycats.
Those looking for a harder version still can attempt Dordle (Wordle where you guess two words instead of one), Quordle (Wordle times four) or Nerdle (Wordle with maths).
Those after more of a laugh might want to check out Taylordle (words relating to Taylor Swift) or Lewdle, which only contains rude words.
The Back Page has taken pains to resist the seductive pull of Wordle for many months and was therefore ill equipped to solve the puzzle of the day.
