Face-to-face healthcare presentations during the pandemic have seen a dramatic decline.

US data has captured a 40% dip in emergency department visits over the course of the pandemic.

One explanation is that telehealth consults have offered care for milder patients in the community setting, with fewer presenting at local emergency departments.
