TONIGHT: Inhaler devices, contraception update & the latest on COVID-19
Tune in tonight, May 19, to watch the latest Healthed webcast.
As we enter the winter flu season, patients are more likely to experience exacerbations of their Asthma and COPD.
But a major issue in both of these patient groups is a tendency of misusing inhaler devices, either incorrectly or inefficiently.
Join tonight’s webcast to hear from Professor Sinthia Bosnic-Anticevich from the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research, about training patients to use inhalers correctly.
Professor Bosnic-Anticevich will explain the science and practice behind good inhaler technique and how GPs can communicate this to their patients.
The event will take place between 7.00pm and 9.00pm, AEST.
GPs who attend the virtual event will also get to hear from three other speakers who will cover the latest up to date information about:
- Managing COVID-19 in winter
Professor Hubertus Jersmann respiratory and sleep Physician at the Royal Adelaide Hospital
- Contraception update
Associate Professor Deborah Bateson, medical director of Family Planning NSW
- Pertussis prevention in adults
Dr Peter Eizenberg, Melbourne based GP
This is the second webcast, of many, that will feature content from the Women’s and Children’s Health updates, that would otherwise have been presented at the face-to-face events.
This webcast event is registered for:
RACGP: 4 CPD activity points
ACRRM: 2 hours under the educational activities category
Due to the high levels of traffic Healthed experience, and the new log in process to their website, Healthed kindly ask that attendees log in to the website 15 minutes prior to the start of the webcast to ensure viewing is not disrupted.
