Infants who are still breastfeeding might refuse food if their mothers are encouraging them to constantly feed, says Associate Professor John Sinn, a Neonatologist and Allergist.
Looking at the mother and child interaction is key in children who aren’t on solids yet.
“The mother-child interaction needs to be looked into. You have to think about the bonding situation and what the mum’s anxiety is that’s causing this issue,” says Associate Professor Sinn.
