More than 90% of children have been fully vaccinated, compared with 9% of adults, says Associate Professor Michael Woodward
Over 90% of children have been fully vaccinated, compared with 9% of adults, says Associate Professor Michael Woodward, a geriatrician at the University of Melbourne.
“If you look at those who have not yet fulfilled the recommendations of the National Immunisation Program, 91% of those are adults,” he says.
“Only 9% of children have not yet fulfilled the requirements of the NIP.
“To turn it around the other way, over 90% of children have been fully vaccinated whereas only a small number of adults have received the full number of recommended vaccines – the recommended vaccines being influenza, the pneumococcal vaccine, and also now the shingles vaccine.”
