Prof. Charles Czeisler, M.D. Ph.D.

Dr. Charles (Chuck) Czeisler is an American physician, sleep researcher and author in the fields of circadian rhythm and sleep medicine, based out of Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School Boston, USA. A member of the US National Academy of Medicine, his areas of focus include the emerging field of Shift Work Sleep-Wake Disorder.

Dr. Czeisler will focus his presentation on this topic, a condition which research has shown can affect between 15-30% of all shift workers.

Dr Katahanas has been a partner at Capalaba Medical Centre since 1988. He graduated from the University of Queensland in 1986, and attained his Fellowship in General Practice in 1996.
