Very few AMA presidents spend their two-year tenure dealing with extreme summer bushfires followed immediately by a hugely disruptive pandemic.

But this was the reality for immediate past president of the AMA, GP Dr Tony Bartone.

As he settles back into full-time general practice, he joins us to talk about his time as leader of the association and the events that defined his presidency.
