One in 10 Australian women has endometriosis. But among women struggling to fall pregnant, this figure rises to four in 10.
Endometriosis is thought to affect fertility through a range of mechanisms from inflammatory responses affecting sperm and implantation to actually altering pelvic anatomy in more severe cases.
