Gloucester is looking for their next GP.

Beautifully located in its own valley and watched over by rocky sentinels, Gloucester is the closest town for adventures in the Gondwana rainforests of the Barrington Tops. It sits in its own valley at the junction of three rivers and is only 3 hours to Sydney, 1.5 hours to Newcastle (less to Newcastle Airport), and just under an hour to the pristine beaches of Forster. Outdoor and sporting activities are Gloucesters specialty along with popular cafes, pub bistros with excellent dining, and three licensed clubs for drinks with friends. There are preschools, primary and secondary schools.

This vibrant and tight-knit community is serviced by a modern, purpose-built medical facility that is home to 6 doctors (and on the lookout for more) who also provide care to the local primary care unit. Our medical centre employs friendly and experienced nursing and reception staff who are committed to providing the very best quality care to the community. We also have available at the practice many other health practitioners including Advanced Hearing, Help Yourself Dietetics and Nutrition, clinical psychologist Joe Gubbay, Mid North Coast Diagnostics, The Heart Centre, Sharon Hocking (podiatrist), Lachlan Chapple (podiatrist), Mid North Coast Sleep Clinic, General Surgeon Dr Saad Al-Mahaidi and Kinetic Medicine.

Our attitude towards flexibility and lifestyle ensures our team enjoys a fantastic work-life balance. As a rural GP in our practice, you will enjoy an exciting and stimulating career where no two days are the same and allow you to function with a high degree of independence. You will experience a broad scope of practice to tackle the unique presentations found only in rural general practice.

Our two clinic sessions per day begin at 9 am and break for lunch at 12.30 pm. The afternoon session begins at 2 pm and finishes at 4.30 pm, leaving time for following up on results and returning messages. Our clinical software is Best Practice

Our 14 bed (and three emergency bed) hospital is serviced by our local general practitioners who enjoy a rotational roster ensuring 24 hours a day care to the residents of the community.
