2 minute read

There are a lot of shiny new features in the popular practice management software.

Best Practice has released Bp Premier Spectra, the latest version of its practice management software, complete with improved Lyrebird Scribe integration, support for the new electronic prescribing specifications and the General Practice in Aged Care incentive.

Spectra offers enhanced visibility for unactioned or outstanding results that have not been marked as given to the patient, enhancements to e-prescribing for medicinal cannabis and allows clinicians to filter incoming reports based on date, patient name, addressee and practice location.

Other enhancements include recording observations to Today’s Notes, recording blood pressure and pulse in the patient record and the addition of Australian Rheumatology Association resources to patient education materials.

The improvements to Lyrebird Scribe include the addition of a new user preference – “Lyrebird transcription save to visit notes position” – added to Setup > Preferences > Clinical to allow clinicians to save Lyrebird transcribed clinical notes to the top or bottom of Today’s Notes.

There are new options for recording Permanent, Respite, and Locum Aged Care Home Accommodation statuses within Family and Social History to support the MyMedicare GPACI.

In Bp Premier version Spectra, the accommodation statuses for Permanent, Respite, and Locum Aged Care Home have been extended to Health Summaries, Enhanced Primary Care documentation, and the Word Processor.

To use the latest version, users must have the July 2024 data update or later installed.
