Webcast: All you need to know about the new IUD
For the past 15 years, there’s only been one hormonal intrauterine device subsidised by the PBS – the Mirena – but since the PBS listing of the Kyleena in February, GPs now have more choices.
Join the next Healthed webcast, on May 19, to hear from Associate Professor Deborah Bateson, medical director of Family Planning NSW about the latest developments in contraception.
Kyleena has already been praised for being smaller than the Mirena and being a lower hormone dose.
The event will take place between 7.00pm and 9.00pm, AEST.
GPs who attend the virtual event will also get to hear from three other speakers who will cover the latest up to date information about:
Managing COVID-19 in winter
Professor Hubertus Jersmann respiratory and sleep Physician at the Royal Adelaide Hospital
Choosing the right inhaler device
Professor Sinthia Bosnic-Anticevich from the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research
Pertussis prevention in adults
Dr Peter Eizenberg, Melbourne based GP
This is the second webcast, of many, that will feature content from the Women’s and Children’s Health updates, that would otherwise have been presented at the face-to-face events.
This webcast event is registered for:
RACGP: 4 CPD activity points
ACRRM: 2 hours under the educational activities category
Due to the high levels of traffic Healthed experience, and the new log in process to their website, Healthed kindly ask that attendees log in to the website 15 minutes prior to the start of the webcast to ensure viewing is not disrupted.
