Army doctors historically turned to the RACGP for civilian medical training, but more recently ACRRM has become the training college of choice for the Australian Defence Force.

The ADF believe ACRRM offers more training environments which mirror the skills needed for remote medical practice in the army.

At the Rural Medicine Australia conference, Captain Bob Worswick, an army doctor and ADF ACRRM registrar, chatted to The Medical Republic about the demands of training and how civilian doctors can become more involved in army medical training.
