How common is dementia in Parkinson’s disease?

The long-term data suggests that the dementia risk is much higher than what people expect, says Dr Wesley Thevathasan, a neurologist based in Melbourne.

Over 20 years, 100% of patients have developed either dementia or are requiring higher level care, he says.
