A message to GPs about contacting reps during COVID-19 from MSD
With all face-to-face communication with GPs suspended, MSD has issued the following message to GPs about how they can connect with representatives from any location should they need any help or information
For more than 125 years, MSD has been inventing medicines and vaccines to tackle the world’s biggest healthcare challenges. The ongoing outbreak of COVID-19 highlights the importance of this work. We have established a team of scientists to assess available antiviral candidates and vaccine assets for potential to impact SARS-coV-2 and related viruses and as a science driven company we will continue to evolve this work. In Australia we are focused on ensuring continuity of supply of both our critical medicines and our clinical trial programme.
MSD has also suspended face-to-face interactions with clinicians as we are acutely aware of the pressure this outbreak is placing on the health care system in Australia at this time. We will continue to monitor the situation and take actions in the best interests of patients, physicians and the community.
As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve we would like to let you know that you can easily connect with your representative from any location, on any internet enabled device, using our online meeting tool. With this video enabled tool we can still engage with you “face to face” and share information visually as we would do in person.
